A thrilling event that has grown year on year since its inauguration in 2004, this year’s content is likely to establish the event as one of the most prestigious horse championships in the Middle East.

Taking place from the 26th to 29th March 2006 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre the Championship is essentially a beauty contest for Purebred Arabian horses, and sees visitors from the regions Ruling Families as well as many other dignitaries, VIPs and horse enthusiasts.
Ziad Galadari, Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee said; ‘The Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship has become one of the most prestigious horse events in the Middle East. The Championship has become a very popular equestrian and social event and covers a wide spectrum of interest for people involved in the industry in the UAE’.
The Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship has also received further support from Caviar Classic, Crystal ?rc Lipton, International Modern Hospital, ITP Publishing, Dubai Horse Racing Information Centre, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Sports Channel, Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, Dubai Aid and Humanitarian City,A Lange & Sohne Replica, all of whom have Support Sponsor status.
Beauty aside,IWC Replica, the Championship is designed to highlight the authenticity and agility attributes of each entry, with authorised judges from the European Conference of Arab Horse Organisation (ECAHO) evaluating the beauty and performance specifications of each entry in its respective age and gender categories. The categories are Colts, Fillies, Stallions and Mares.
Entries for this year’s event closed on the 25th of February and it is expected that entry numbers will increase along with the standard of horses competing. Entries for 2005 saw both regional and international participation from countries as near as Qatar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain,jimmy choo wiki, and as far as Belgium, Sweden, France, Italy and the United Kingdom, and the UAE of course. The international participation for this year’s event is also expected to be from a wide spread of countries.
A new category is launched this year for Foals, a non – ECAHO championship, for horses under one year old with prize money totalling USD 17,000 for each of the filly and colt Championships. Prize money for the Racing and Endurance Championships has also increased and totals USD 16,500 for each Championship. And finally, the prizes on offer for all ECAHO classes and championships will be exclusive wrist watches and luxury motor vehicles.
Running concurrently along side the Championship the Dubai International Horse Fair will take place. The Fair is a trade show that is geared to attract equestrian enthusiasts from across the region offering something for everyone interested in the equine market like livery, tack, art or simply to soak up the entire equestrian lifestyle.
The timeliness of the Fair and Championship will further capture regional and international traffic visiting Dubai for the Dubai World Cup, which falls one day prior to the Championship’s opening and is thus ideal for the equestrian trade.
